RUN OUT LOUD
As the new ambassadors for the Run Out Loud campaign, we flew to Brisbane yesterday to kickstart the national campaign with a free 30 minute bootcamp in the middle of the city at Queen Street Mall. It is always our mission to get people excited about living an active life and this was the perfect opportunity for us to reach all of our fellow Aussies and help them get their bodies moving.
Our day started with a 4:30am wake up for make up with our gorgeous make up artist Tara Newhouse. Then we were off to the airport for a 7am flight, which was fun as always. Although we both don't love flying so much, we just chat and make each other laugh so much that we forget about the flight. When we arrived in Brisbane we headed straight to the venue to check out the space and meet with the event organisers. After meeting some of our beautiful followers who came out to train with us, it was time to start the bootcamp or in this case the BEATcamp! It was so fun working out to the beats of Brisbane DJ's Mashd n Kutcher, the tunes really got us and the crowd pumped up. The awesome men and women who got involved and did the session were working up a sweat in front of a massive crowd which was so cool to be a part of.
Not only did we get to meet some incredible people in the bootcamp session and crowd, we were also lucky enough to meet and listen to the Australian Olympic Gold Medalist, Sally Pearson, which was such an honour. We made a beautiful new friend too, local Brisbane personal trainer Chontel Duncan was there to support the event and take part in the BEATtest, her energy was a beautiful breath of fresh air. After lots of photos, Chontel was kind enough to take us for lunch to her favourite and Brisbane's best cafe PawPaw Cafe, which was soooooo delicious. We had the yummiest meals, Avocado Gluten Free Toast with poached eggs and Sweet Potato Chips, followed by their specialty Coconut Whip healthy treat, it was exactly what we needed to refuel. Gina the owner was an absolute sweetheart, she looked after us so much she even drove us back to the airport when it was time to leave.... seriously so kind and thoughtful. Thanks Gina!
After a massive, fun filled day, it was time to head home to be back with our family, we were so excited to share our day's experiences with them and absolutely so exhausted that we crashed out.
We can safely say, our first #ROL event was a great success and we can't wait to get involved with all of the events and travel the country for the entire campaign!
We will be getting a #BaseBodyBabesROLTeam together to walk the #City2South with on June 14, so stay tuned for that. To purchase your tickets, check out the Run Out Loud Facebook page to purchase your tickets, they are having a 48hour flash sale right now.
